Thundering HawkSpirit Kirouana Paddaquahum is the Medicine Chief of ACQTC and UELN. Kirouana lives deep in the Shawangunk Mountains and is setting up a traditional bagino (sweat lodge) program for our confederacy. He teaches basic traditions such as flintknapping, making mats, basketry, and cordage; and he is a carver and craftsman. Kirouana’s main focus is the art of healing, utilizing his extensive knowledge of edible and medicinal plants. His interests also include chinese chi gung and internal gung-fu. He will be setting up a traditional long-house / big-house at the annual Lenape / Renape gathering in July each year in Connecticut. In the photo above, Kirouana holds the Thunder Clan sacred Pipe and he wears the Red Heart Warrior’s Society Medicine Bag.
