In ancient times the Quinnipiac and other Algonquian Nations of the Dawnland learned their many traditions through various Societies. There were Societies for men, women, children; societies for the shamans and curers, the warriors and the hunters.

In this same tradition ACQTC has developed a number of specialized Societies so that our people, as well as Allies, Friends and Relatives who work with us, might all learn together from the elders and culture-bearers. This is how the traditions have been passed on from generation to generation throughout the millennia.

The following pages give a brief introductions to the key Societies that are open to everyone. Anyone wishing to participate is invited to use our Contact ACQTC form, your expression of interest will be forwarded to the appropriate individual.
